If my loved one should fall and sustain a fracture, can they go to the hospital?

Yes. If they are in the ER for observation they do not need to come off service, if they are admitted than they are discharged due to entering a non-contracted facility, as hospice is under Medicare part A and Medicare will not pay for both hospice and hospitalization at the same time, but again upon discharge from the hospital, they are eligible to be re-admitted to our services.
